Farmers all across North America now face a steadily increasing onslaught of superweeds and superpests that have spawned as a direct result of biotechnology. Among 13 main pests examined as part of a 2011 study published in the journal Environmental Sciences Europe, five of them were found to become completely immune to the poisons genetically implanted into Bt corn and natural cotton, for instance. And more recently, Brazilian farmers have reported that GMO corn is no longer resistant to pests.Dr. Alireza colleagues and Minagar conducted a little trial involving 15 individuals with an average age of 44.5 years with relapsing-remitting MS who had been taking interferon for at least six months and were experiencing symptoms and developing new brain lesions. The researchers suspect these unpredictable episodes might be triggered by an inappropriate response to viral or bacterial infections, with symptoms disappearing and appearing in a random manner. For a four month period the patients were given a 100mg a complete day of doxycycline, a member of the tetracycline family of antibiotics, to take in addition to their regular dosage of interferon.
